Situated on the equator, Kenya has been described as “the cradle of humanity”. At 580,367 km2, the Republic of Kenya has a population of 46 million. The official languages are English and Kiswahili but numerous indigenous languages are also used. The most widely practiced religion is Christianity, followed by Islam.1 A considerable portion of Kenya comprises wildlife habitats such as the Masai Mara.2
